Mrs. Hamilton Colwell -
Thursday morning, September 27, Mrs. Colwell, wife of Hamilton Colwell, departed this life, after an illness of about two weeks' duration, aged fifty-eight years.
Mrs. Colwell, whose maiden name was Susanna Stein, was born in County Tyrone, Ireland. Coming to this country with her husband about twelve years ago, they first settled in the adjoining town of Ellisburg, where they lived until last year.
Mrs. Colwell was of Protestant ancestry and became converted and connected with the Primitive Methodist church in early life. She has lived a consistent life, beloved by her family, respected by all who knew her. Eleven children, ten of whom are married, mourn the loss of this faithful mother.
The funeral services were largely attended and were conducted by Rev. M. G. Seymour at her late home, the body being interred in the Ellisburg Cemetery.
