Charles N. Bowser Jr., 88, Indiana, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at the Beacon Ridge Nursing Facility.

The son of Charles N. and Mary Elene (Kerr) Bowser Sr., he was born June 28, 1926 in Connellsville, PA.

Charles was a W.W. II and Korean War veteran who served his country for over twenty years. His rank upon discharge was that of a master sergeant. After his military career he was employed 19 years with Pennsylvania Emergency Management. Charles was also a member of the Indiana American Legion and the Central Indiana Model Railroad Club.

Surviving is his wife, Barbara (Christie) Bowser, Indiana; children, Christopher (Betty) Bowser, Belton, SC., Charlene (Gary) Allison, Newnan, GA., Constance (Ron) Howell, Columbus, GA., Chuck Leonard, Nashville, TN., R. Scott (Kimberly) Bowser, Port Allegany, PA., and Regina (William) Madey, Indiana, PA.; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Preceding Charles in death were his parents; brother, James French Bowser; and sister, Maxine Dolores Eicher.

Friends will be received on Monday, April 27, from 5-8 PM at the John A Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral service will be conducted 11 AM Tuesday morning, in the Lefdahl Chapel with Joe Trainer officiating. Private interment in the Oakland Cemetery will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Friends of East Broad Top, 550 North Main Street, Robertsdale, PA 16674. The family would also like to thank the staff of Beacon Ridge Nursing Facility for their loving and kind care.
