Marie was the daughter of William Warner Brown and Nora Della Brigham. A native of Nebraska, she had lived in Nevada for most of her life, with her last 31 years spent in Sun Valley. She had previously lived in California, Montana, and Fallon, Nevada.

She was a talented musician, as well as a waitress and a former president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She was married first to a man named Seibert, with whom she had two daughters and one son. After their divorce she married Floyd McKinney and had three children with him. Following his death in 1943 she married W. C. Cameron and had one daughter.

Unfortunately, Marie was preceded in death by five of her children: daughters Carol LaRae Cameron in 1949, Gladys Seibert Hoelker in 1956, Darlene McKinney Shelton in 1972, and Patricia McKinney Hoover in 1991; and one son, Raymond Ira Seibert in 1988.

She was survived by two daughters, Floy Mae Seibert of Sparks and Mrs. Judith Kimpton of Sun Valley; one son, Charles McKinney of Fernley; 28 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
