Harold Newton Franks was the son of Jasper Newton Franks and Minnie Sylvestee McRae. He was born in Colton, California on November 28, 1932. He has two brothers named Claude and Leonard. Harold was brought up in a Pentecostal church. He and his wife, Mary Elizabeth have three sons named Harold Calvin, Charles Efton, and Mark Edward, and one daughter named Fonda Elizabeth Ball. He has 3 grandchildren; Summer Elizabeth Ball, William Erik Ball Jr., and Mark Leonard Franks. Harold served his country in the United States Air Force and worked as a typesetter for the San Bernardino Sun. A Western films buff, professional wrestling fan, and sports card and memorabilia collector. He was always up for a trip to Vegas. His favorite pastime was visiting the nearest diner for some good eats. Mr. Franks passed away in his sleep on May 2, 2015 in Victorville, California. He was 82. He will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, California 92518.
