West Point, UT-Our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Bonnie R. Bennett, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2015 after a valiant battle with cancer at the Ogden Regional Medical Center in Ogden, Utah.
She was born May 23, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ellis and Volna (Bonnie) Rockwood.
On December 19, 1968, Bonnie was sealed to her sweetheart, Lyle T. Bennett in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
Bonnie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she served in many capacities throughout her life. Some of her callings included Counselor in the Primary and Young Women's Presidencies, and Primary Music Chorister. Her most recent calling was Temple Worker at the Ogden Utah Temple.
Bonnie gave her all in everything she did. She loved teaching and worked as a Resource Teacher for the Davis School District for 18 years.
Her interests included quilting, family history work, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was truly a strength and inspiration to all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered most for her selfless concern for others and positive attitude, even to the end.
