GALVESTON - Ruby Rowena Winfield, 82, passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston.
She was born on Dec. 2, 1921, in Hollis, Oklahoma, and was raised in Quanha, Texas. However, for the past 48 years, she has been a resident of Galveston, Texas.
Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Winfield, her parents, Arch G. Hull, Quanha and Verna L. Hull of La Marque. She is also preceded in death by her five siblings.
Ruby leaves behind her two sons, Frank L. Tomlin of
Houston, Texas, and Harry G. Gooch of Montana. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8701 Almeda-
Genoa Road, Houston, Texas.
Friends are welcomed at the cemetery for services.
Cremation services for Ms. Winfield are being provided under the direction of Broadway Funeral
