ODESSA Mike, son of W. B. and Johnnie Fisher, was born in Electra, Texas on February 20, 1939.
He met his wife, Joyce Jennings, in Cleveland, Mississippi, and they began their journey following construction in many states.
Mike learned to weld at Raymond Crenshaw's Machine Shop during his high school years.
After coming to Odessa in 1971 with Conner Construction it became their home. Mike founded Fisher Construction in 1989 currently employees approximately one hundred people. Mike dedicated his business to the Lord and credits him with its success.
As a Christian and an active member of First Baptist Church of Odessa, Mike dedicated his business to the Lord and credits Him with its' success.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, W.B. and Johnnie Fisher.
Pallbearers are Johnny Stephens, Joe Fikes, Johnny Ray Crenshaw, Glenn Hibbens, Billy Gillock and Scott Thane. Honorary pallbearers are employees of Fisher Construction.
Family members will greet friends at a visitation from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2008, at Frank Wilson Funeral Directors
A celebration of Mike's life will be at 4 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Odessa with Dr. Ernest Easley and Dr. Byron McWilliams officiating. Internment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
