(Noted) For your information, due to the fact that our U.S. Census were sent overseas to places like China or India "to be read." A lot of Census readers "didn't understand the English spelling" so a great deal of errors were misread and recorded down wrong...

(1860 Census) Under Isaac Blawvelt.
(Noted) But the Census shows Isaac Blauvelt.

(Head) Isaac Blauvelt (43) 1817 Ohio. Farmer.
(Wife) Mary (40) 1820 Ohio.
(Dau) Susan (17) 1843 Ohio. Domestic Help
(Dau) Charlotte (12) 1848 Ohio.
(Other) John Fleming (12) 1848 Ohio.

(Noted) Often times when it stated "Other" it's most likely some type of relative "or" a close friend of the family "that may have been hired for help", or was suddenly orphaned, due to the loss of both their parents to a epidemic outbreak.

(Also Noted) It appears that Isaac's first wife Mary (Vore) Blauvelt had died sometime after the July 7th, 1860 Census, and before his second marriage on November 10th, 1867. It is uncertain at this time, if Mary may have gotten pregnant with other children "after Charlotte." So, (IF) she did get pregnant again, maybe she had difficulty during the child's birth, and could have died sometime during or after giving birth to her and Isaac's other unknown child, after the 1960 Census was taken. Or, perhaps she may have very well died during an outbreak epidemic, during the "Civil War" (1861-1865).
