3 small field stones mark sunken area between Parents & 13 yr old brother Obadiah at center rear of Twining Cemetery. Cannot tell which one belongs to Henry if he is there.
TOLLAND HOMESTEAD 67:
HIGGINS PLACE: About ¼ mile north of the Elijah Twining Place and on the east side of East Otis Road stood the Solomon “Grampa” Higgins place. Mr Higgins was a shoemaker and came here from Cape Cod about 1773 with other settlers. Solomon Higgins built a log cabin then later a permanent home. In 1857, Henry Higgins, a son, lived here.
