Agnes Irene Henrichs passed from this life May 31, 2010 at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, Iowa at 88 years of age. She was born in Humboldt, Iowa on January 5, 1922 to Jens Larsen and Christina (Chriastensen) Larsen. At the age of three years, Irene was fostered to Agnes and John Hinrichs, who adopted her at the age of 16.

Irene graduated from high school and Morningside College. She taught school until her marriage to Floyd Leon Henrichs on December 22, 1957 in Des Moines, Iowa; four children blessed this union.

Irene was a member of Osceola United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was a 4-H leader and Girl Scout leader when her children were young. Irene loved being a mom and grandma and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband Floyd in 2005; brothers and sisters, Chris Larsen, Andrew Larsen, Harold Larsen, Ann Brown, Magnus (Mike) Larsen, Margaret Simonsen, Gladys Nelson, Tillie Knudsen and Kenneth Larsen.

She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Lillian (Ken) Postma of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Kathy (Gary) Taylor of Osceola; son, Michael Henrichs of Osceola; daughter, Colleen Henrichs of Osceola; sister, Eva (Paul) Brown of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Beth (Taylor) Lincoln, Keri Taylor, Allen Taylor, Ann Taylor, Richard Postma, Monica Postma, Daniel Postma, Nathan Postma; other relatives and many friends.
