Mrs. Sidney Lee Smith, who lived with her daughter, Mrs. Eber Prather, at 44 South Prescott, died at 4:45 a.m. yesterday at the Prescott address. She was 88. Mrs. Smith has been an invalid for 11 years. She was born in Ramer, Tenn., and lived in Dyersburg until she moved to Memphis three years ago. She was a member of Southtown Methodist Church of Dyersburg. She leaves her husband, Sidney Smith, a retired farmer of Dyersburg; four other daughters, Mrs. Carl Grant of Dyersburg, Mrs. Eva Ingle of the Prescott address, Mrs. Roger Welch of Hobart, Ind., and Mrs. James Weeks of 3454 Bradford Road; nine grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Curry Funeral Home of Dyersburg. Burial will be in the Ramer Cemetery. (Published in The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, TN, on September 10, 1963)
