Funeral Held Here
The body of Mrs. Hannah Merriam, whose death occurred in Newton, arrived in the city this morning, accompanied by relatives. The body was taken to the Oldroyd parlors, and the funeral services were held at that place at 10 o'clock this morning. Rev. W.H. Moore preached the funeral sermon and the body of Mrs. Merriam was interred in Riverview cemetery beside that of the husband of the deceased. Mrs. Merriam was a resident of this city for a good many years and was well and favorably known here. Her death occurred at the home of her daughter in Newton.
