John S. Glatfelter, 62, Linden Ave., died at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday in General Hospital after an illness of five years.
He was born in Lancaster and was the son of the late Jacob S. and Laura Diem Glatfelter. He lived in Lancaster most of his life and was a mechanic for the Conestoga Transportation Co. prior to his illness.
He was a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1241.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Emma Dornes Glatfelter, at home: these children: Loretta M. Hall; Donald G.;Rhoda, Wife of William Kendig and Miss Barbara, all of Lancaster; Clarence; Edward W; Frank J; and Miss Laura L, all at home: 13 grandchildren; and a sister, Miss Dorothy, Marietta.
