Doris, 91, of Lake Odessa, MI. passed away after a brief illness on May 3, 2015 at Spectrum Pennock Hospital in Hastings. Doris was born to Fred and June (Coles) Fahrni.

She was a 1940 graduate of Clarksville High School. On May 15, 1942 she married Berton E. McCaul and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2003.

Doris owned and operated Maid Dairy from 1949-1956, and continued farming outside of Lake Odessa until 1996 when she and Berton moved into town.

She belonged to the Lake Odessa Library Club and First Congressional Church along with being a reading tutor at West Elementary for many years. Doris was a very giving person who would always feed and house someone in need.

She will be dearly missed by her children; Roxie (Lee) Hazel, Neil (Yvonne) McCaul, Betty (Terry) Haskins, Sue (Gary) Elliott and Steve (Jana) McCaul, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren along with special friend Richard Gardner.
Proceeding her in death were; husband Berton, son Alex McCaul, sister Carol Fahrni, brother Bruce Fahrni and his wife Rosylan.

Funeral services was held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Koops Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family would like people to donations to the Lake Odessa Fire Department, Lake Odessa Library or the First Congressional Church.
