BURKHEAD, Barbara J. age 75, of New Carlisle, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at The Hospice of Dayton.
Barbara was the manager at the North Dayton Anglers and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. "Steve"; parents, Mary & John McDaniel; sister, Beverly Bowman; son, Jeffrey; and grandson, Michael.
Barbara is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Rhonda & L.G. Traylor of New Carlisle, Stephanie & Dan Conway of New Carlisle; sons & daughter-in-law, Gary Burkhead of New Carlisle, Steven & Sandra Burkhead of MO; brother, Butch McDaniel & his wife, Loretta of Christiansburg; best friends for over 50 years, Elnora Lewis & Kathy McDaniel; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives & friends.
Funeral service 1 PM Friday, January 3, 2014 at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike with Pastor Rob Wackerman officiating.
Interment Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 AM Friday until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to The Hospice of Dayton in Barbara's memory.
