Family and friends of Lester D. Haymore mourn his sudden passing in Mexico City on August 28, 1990. At the time of his death, President Haymore and his wife, Edna Grace, directed the Mexico City Missionary Training Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Born August 3, 1924 in Douglas, Arizona to John Lester and Erma Romney Haymore. Graduate of South High School, Brigham Young University and the University of Utah. Completed service in the U.S. Army and fulfilled an LDS Mission to Argentina. Married Edna Grace Fulghum on June 6, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Worked for the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C., as well as the Bureau of Land Management and the Internal Revenue Service in Salt Lake City. He founded Haymore Realty in 1960. Active in real estate, he was president of the Salt Lake Board of Realtors in 1969, Utah Realtor of the Year in 1970, president of the Utah Association of Realtors in 1983, and the first Certified Residential Broker (CRB) in the state of Utah. Served as president of the Chile Concepcion and Chile Osorno missions from 1975-1978.

Lester D. Haymore was a kind and generous soul, and a loving and devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Edna Grace, three children and their spouses, Clayton and Sheralyn (Sherry) Haymore Wilkinson, Salt Lake City; Wayne and Judith Haymore Sandholtz, Claremont, California; David Lester and Robin Haymore, Washington, D. C.; and five grandchildren; Whitney, Kelli, and C.J. Wilkinson; Tarin and Nichelle Haymore. Also survived by a sister, Norma Hoge Howard, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 1990 at 1 p.m. at the Monument Park Stake Center, 1320 So. Wasatch Drive. Friends may call at the stake center on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Mexico City Missionary Training Center. Funeral Directors: Cannon Mortuary.
