"Mother Dies At Bloomington
Mrs. Hattie Milam, mother of Hubert Brownfield of this city died yesterday at 9 o'clock at her home in Bloomington, Ind. Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning at the Jasper County South Bend Church with burial in the South Bend cemetery.
She is survived by her son, and two daughters, Mrs. Ross Sanders and Mrs. Fay Hancock both of Bloomington. A sister Mrs. Lizzie Grubb of St. Louis survives."

According to Portrait and biographical record of Effingham, Jasper and Richland counties, Illinois P. 462. She is the daughter of Samuel Butler who is buried in the Ryan cemetery.
