Born in St. Louis, Missouri. During the civil war, she came to Jacksonville with her parents to stay with her mother's parents. They lived for four years at the old Trotter house on East State street.
Her father designed and supervised building of the Washington school.
Married Edward S. Greenleaf.
Survived by six children; eighteen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
