Gladys Marie Greer Clarkson, 89, of Waynesburg, KY died Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Golden Living Center in Stanford, KY. She was born February 19, 1926 in South Fork, Lincoln County, KY to the late Albert and Rosetta Pulliam Greer. She was a housewife, farmer, and was a member of Pleasant Point Baptist Church. Gladys enjoyed life and nature; flowers, birds, gardening.
Survivors include her husband of 68 1/2 years, Jeff Clarkson Jr. of Waynesburg, KY; Three children Joyce Dowell (Walter), Bobbie Clarkson (Karen) and Marlin Clarkson (the late Angela Clarkson) all of Waynesburg, KY; Two brothers, Marvin Greer of Erlanger, KY and Herman Greer of Kings Mountain, KY, a sister, Lorene Napier of Kings Mountain, KY; Five grandchildren, Paula Hutchens, Pamela Wilder, Bobby Jay Clarkson, Candi Spencer and Marlin "Marty" Clarkson; Ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Irene Breeden and a brother, Hubert Greer.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 7, 2015 from 5-9 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home Stanford, funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2015 at Spurlin Funeral Home Stanford. Brother Edward Bray will be officiating the service. Burial will be in K.P. Hall Cemetery in Waynesburg, KY
