Rebecca was the daughter of Christopher and Elizabeth Ross of Ohio. Rebecca was married to Robert Baty on March 5, 1818, in Ross County, Ohio. Rebecca's ancestors were from Germany. She and Robert were the parents of 14 children, of which 9 reached maturity. Rebecca is also the mother of Stephen and Rebecca Baty. They both died at an early age. It is unknown where her grave is located, but it is possibly in Valley Grove Cemetery, near Robert's grave, without a marker. She could also be buried on her home farm, which was in section 35 of Harrison Township, Fayette County, Indiana. It was a few miles from Valley Grove Cemetery and more then likely had a few of her children buried there.
