Kenneth Ray Fast, 77, lifelong Hooker and Adams resident died Sunday morning, December 19, 1999 at Dunaway Manor in Guymon.
The son of Abraham and Sara Cornelson Fast, he was born February 5, 1922 at Hooker. He was united in marriage to Velma Jene Martens January 4, 1942.
He farmed and ranched in the Adams community and also and also owned the Adams Grain & Fertilizer Company. An avid pilot, he spent many enjoyable hours flying and he was a member of the Adams Mennonite Brethren Church.
Survivors included his wife of more than 57 years; four daughters, Jone and husband Roland Friesen of Tulsa, Kathy Regan of Dallas, Texas, Donna and husband, Wayne Johnson of Guymon, and Virginia Deeds of Irving, Texas.
Other survivors include six grandchildren, Gwendolyn Friesen of Albany, New York, Philip Friesen of Norman, Jennifer Webberof Euless, Texas, C.J. Johnson and Remington Johnson, both of Guymon and John Regan of Dallas, Texas; one great granddaughter, Shelbie Smith of Buffalo Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and an infant daughter.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, December 22 at 9:30 a.m. at the Adams Mennonite Brethren Cemetery with memorial service following at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Guymon with Rev. Jim Jacobson, pastor, officiating.
