Albert Crawford "Abby" Crall
age 78, of Scio died Friday, May 1, 2015 in Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville. Born April 10, 1937 in Cassville he was a son of the late Frank and Sylvia Smith Crall. He graduated from Scio High School in 1954 and married his wife on May 27, 1959. A farmer all of his life, he and Virginia purchased their farm near Tappan in 1960. He also worked at the Scio Pottery for 21 years, operated heavy equipment for Stock Twp. for 40 years and for area coal companies and retired in 2000 from Mull Industries (formerly Scio Laminate). In his spare time he built fully functional wooden toys.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son of Scio, a daughter of Elk, Wash., grandchildren of Scio and of Elk, Wash., a brother of Carrollton and a sister of Clarksville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by brothers Henry, Elmer, George, Lester, Carl and Gary "Doug" Crall and sisters Audrey Wallace, Donna Custer, Mildred Weaver and Connie Godman.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Koch Funeral Home, Scio with Pastor Bob King officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Tappan VFD, 33300 Cadiz Dennison Rd., Scio 43988.
