Mr. Adams was a native of Quinton, Okla. He lived in Manteca one year and previously lived in Oakdale 30 years.
He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 18 years.
He served in the Air Force 20 years.
He is survived by his children, Joy Combs of Castlerock, Wash., John Earl Adams of Beaverton, Ore., Mark Anthony Adams of Anchorage, Alaska, and Michael Lynn Adams of Manteca; brothers, James Adams of Oakdale, and J.L. Quinton and Dean Quinton, both of Wyo.; sister, Inez Frisk of Missouri; and 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Oakdale Memorial Chapel.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oakdale Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson.
