Dr. Lyle E. Snavely
GLASGOW, Ky. – Dr. Lyle Emerson Snavely, 68, of Glasgow died at 7 a.m. Thursday at his home, 707 Leslie Ave., after a lengthy illness.
The Nebraska native was a chiropractor in Glasgow for 38 years. He was a World War II veteran; a member of Allen Lodge No. 24, F&AM, and Glasgow Rotary Club; president of the Kentucky Chiropractic Association, and 20-year delegate to the American Chiropractic Association.
He was the son of the late Ira C. and Virginia Wine Snavely.
Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow, where he was a member, with burial in Cosby Cemetery in Hart County.
Visitation begins at 7 p.m. today at A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home in Glasgow. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Glasgow Musicale Endowment Fund or the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
Survivors include his wife, Christeen Snavely; two brothers, Dale Snavely of Nappanee, Ind., and Duane Snavely of Vermontville, Mich.; one sister, Gladys South of Corning, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
