Services were held Tuesday for Andrew J. Oard, who died Sunday, November 12 at the Kays Nursing Home. Andrew Oard was born February 20, 1863 to Peter and Lydia Oard in Allen county, Ohio. He moved to Gladwin county with his family in 1910. His wife and two children preceded him in death.
Surviving are five children, Mrs. Bertha Mullen of Polson, Oklahoma, Mrs. Lydia Sullivan of Rygate, Oklahoma, Mrs. Irene King of Detroit and Boyd and James of Buckeye township.
Rev. Karl Koerner of the Highwood Free Methodist Church officiated with services at the Buckeye townhall. Burial was in Arbutus cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 11-15-1939 Column - 4 Page – 5.
