Mannie M. Spurgeon, 74, Northport, Wis., a retired Milwaukee Road inspector, died at 3 A.M., Oct. 30 in Wetauwega after a long illness.
He was born Oct. 27, 1885 in Sabula, Iowa.
Funeral services were held in New London with the pastor of North Port Methodist church in charge. Graveside services were held in Rockton Monday at 4:00 P.M., where he lived for a number of years.
He is survived by his widow, Lucy Graves Spurgeon; one daughter, Mrs. Viola Gonske, Rockford; two step-daughters, Mrs. Stella Randahl, North Port, Wis., and Mrs. Lawrence Lorge, New London, Wis.; one son, Ralph, Freeport; one brother, Alva, Clinton, Iowa, and three grandchildren.
