His parents; five brothers; two sisters; one son, Bobbie Linder, one son-in-law, Robert Johnson; and one great-grandson preceded him in death.
He was born Aug. 13, 1910, in Wayne County, a son of Joby Silvester and Mary Nancy Boyd Linder.
He married Helen Lamb March 26, 1932, in Fairfield. She died March 27, 1990.
Mr. Lewis was educated in Wayne County schools.
He was a member of Assembly of God Church, Pontiac, and Masonic Lodge, Pontiac.
