Phillip Rivera died May 25, 1961. He died trying to save a friend at Lake Maloney just hours before his high school graduation. He drowned about 4:30 P.m. as they attempted to swim to shore from Scout Island at Lake Maloney.
He had 5 brothers, Steve, Tom, David, Larry,and Gilbert.
He was a member of the Berean Fundamental Church.
Phil loved his school, friends and was a football player.
