PHILIP C. AGNE Well Known Citizen Dies From Cerebral Hemorrhage
Philip C. Agne, aged 62, died at his home on the Rome-Verona Road, one and one-half miles west of the Custodial Asylum at 11::45 o'clock Saturday night from cerebral hemorrhage, Last Thursday he was riding with Fred Maurer of Churchville, when he was take ill and removed to the home of Mr. Maurer and later taken to his own home in the ambulance.
Mr. Agne was a son of the late Mr. And Mrs, Jacob Agne and he was born in Higginsville. His young life was spent there and later he resided in Churchville and New Hartford, and in 1900 he bought the farm on the Rome-Verona road and lived there since that time. In 1882 he was married to Miss Caroline Kline, who survives with the following children: Miss Mary M., Walter K., and Oscar G. Agne, all residing at home. He also leaves one sister, Miss Kate E. Agne, who resided with her brother. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Churchville, was president of the church council and was also a member of the board of school directors. Mr. Agne was honest and upright in all his dealings and he had many friends who held him in high esteem.
