Ada Mae (Foster) McCarley, 96, died Thursday, June 8, 2006 after a brief illness.

Born July 27, 1909 in Woodruff, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Cager Foster and Lilly (Woodruff) Foster and the wife of the late Francis Wilson "Frank" McCarley.

She was a member of Center Point Presbyterian Church in Moore, SC.

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce McCarley Smith and her husband Larry of Plano, TX; two grandchildren, Susan Davis Newton and her husband John of Lexington, SC, and Terry Smith and his wife Judi Reichard Smith of Coppell, TX; and three great-grandchildren, Derik Newton of Charlotte, NC, Lauren Newton of Lexington, SC, and Sean Smith of Washington, DC. She was predeceased by two daughters, Frances McCarley Davis and Jane McCarley; five sisters; and four brothers.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2006 at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, Woodruff, SC, conducted by the Rev. John Fastenau.

In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Center Point Presbyterian Church, PO Box 266, Moore, SC 29369.
