Funeral services for Mrs. Rita (Tierney) Treat, 71, of Mark Lane, Waterbury, and formerly of Watertown, wife of Joseph E. Treat, were held Monday, Jan. 11, at 9 a.m. from the Murphy Funeral Home, Waterbury, to St. John's Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial was in new St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Mrs. Treat died Thursday, Jan. 7, at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. She was a resident of Watertown for 10 years until moving back to Waterbury several months ago. She was a former employee of the Connecticut Light & Power Co.
Besides her husband of Waterbury, she leaves two brothers, and several nieces and nephews.
