Charles V. Fisher died at his home, 804 W. Mulberry St., in Bloomington, Illinois on March 17, 1923. He was employed at the Chicago and Alton Shops in the car department for six years prior to his death and before that was employed by the American Express Company.

He was born in Wilmington, Illinois on September 6, 1872. At the age of 16 he came to Bloomington and on January 16, 1896 he was married to Elizabeth Pohl of Bloomington, Illinois. She survived his death along with two children, Mrs. Lloyd Schad and Charles L. Fisher both of Bloomington, Illinois.

He was also survived by one brother, Dr. Frank C. Fisher of Bloomington, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. C. H Freeman of Tampa, Florida and Frances Fisher of Bloomington, Illinois; and two grandchildren.

He was a member of the Carman's Union and of the Modern Woodmen lodge No. 110
