Claude ‘CoCo’ ‘Frenchie’ A. L. Dufay passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the age of 86.

He was the cherished husband of Micheline Fouasnon Dufay for 29 years. Loving and devoted father of his adored children Annie Dufay Reeves (husband David) and Michelle Dufay (husband Frank Shults). Son of the late Pierre and Madeline Dufay. Proud grandfather of Tina Reeves Chiasson (Matt), Tammy Reeves Thomas (Donovan Sr.), Tanya Reeves, Micki Goldstein and Heidi Goldstein. Great grandfather of Gillian Chiasson, Matthew Chiasson Jr., Donovan Thomas Jr., and Lucienne Alexis Thomas. Brother of Daniel Dufay, Suzanne Dufay Lenoir, Renee Dufay and the late Madeline Dufay. Many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews in Texas, Bay St. Louis and France.

Claude was born in Villerville, France on May 12, 1928.

He immigrated with his family to Borger, Texas in 1948. Shortly after, he moved to St. Bernard Parish where he remained a resident until his death.

Claude retired from the Tenneco Chalmette Refinery after over 45 years of service. He had a love for technology and enjoyed discussing the latest gadgets and inventions with his grandchildren. Claude also enjoyed playing with his faithful companion, Lucky.

The family would like to express special thanks to the nurses and staff of Chateau Living Center and Hospice Association of New Orleans fortheir kindness and loving attention they gave him.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
