Theresa died at the age of abt. 27 years. According to a news article, Theresa collapsed in the street, was taken to a hospital, had a convulsion and died shortly thereafter. Theresa is buried next to her grandfather, James, in Bristol, Pa. cemetery. On her gravestone it states her father's name, not her husbands.
There are several news articles on the separation and pending divorce of Theresa and Samuel. It's documented that he denied her financial support even though he was ordered by the Court to provide her with said support. When she was interviewed by police, she mentioned being ill and that her illness was, in part, the cause of the separation. Less than a year after Theresa's death, Samuel married Mabel Hunt Duncan.
Theresa's mother died in June 1904, which resulted in (Oct. 24, 1904) Theresa and her 3 younger siblings being placed in Brooklyn Orphan Asylum Society at 1435 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. It is unclear how long they remained at the orphan society. I believe their father was placed in a work camp at that same time. By 1910, Theresa was living in Bristol, Bucks County, PA; her 3 younger siblings were living with John and Annie Raynor in Bayonne, NJ. Possibly a foster care situation or a relative. This information can be found in documents on Ancestry.
The last census (1915) Theresa was on, was found on Familysearch. She is living with Samuel and her son Walter at 11 McClellan Ave. Hamilton NJ, not far from McGalliard Ave. where Samuel's future wife lives, Mabel Hunt and her family.
