Mitchell M. Baltich, 86, of Weirton, passed away on Tuesday April, 28, 2015 at Acuity Specialty Hospital in Weirton.

He was born Nov. 3, 1928 in Weirton, the son of the late Charles and Anna (Roksandich) Baltich. He was preceded in death by his five brothers Bronko, George, Pete, Daniel and John Baltich.

Mitch most recently worked at Guida Enterprises. Previous to that he worked as a supervisor at Weirton Steel Plant Security, was a Weirton police officer for 20 years, and retired as a Hancock County Magistrate.

He was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, the Serbian Men's Club and the Fraternal Order of Police.

Mitch is survived by his beloved wife Shirlee (Gryskevich) Baltich whom he married on Sept. 11, 1955, his loving daughter Jan Baltich, of Weirton, brother Charles Baltich of CA., sisters Nancy Baltich of Weirton and JoAnn Thompson of FL., and God-daughter Sarah Wright of Weirton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M., at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV., where Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday. V. Rev. Father Rade Merick will officiate.

Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
