He was born Dec.7, 1931, in Marshall, Ind.m the son of Ernest "Pedro" and Ola Dobson Baker. He married Zealie Lourdeau on May 22, 1954, in Danville, Ill. His children are as follows, two sons, Derek A. (Tammy) Baker of Ridge Farm and Neil W. (Jennifer) Baker of Georgetown; three daughters, Lori (Ray) Blankenship of Westville, Mona (Rick) Krankavitch of Catlin and Tara (Erik) Hopkins of Ridge Farm. He had one brother Warren Dean (Phyllis) Baker of Danville; and one sister, Donna Callahan in California. Max was also the grandfather of 12 children and great-grandfather of 3. Special friends included Jack McCoy, Tom Harrison, Dave Brown and many others too numerous to mention. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Wendy L. Smith.
Max was employed with Flexel in Covington, In., for 41 years as an electrician. He enjoyed umpiring, coaching, and playing baseball, bowling, playing cards, models, and most of all, spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
