E.A. Horton died at this residence, No. 254 west Jefferson street, on Saturday evening at 8 o'clock, after a lingering illness of several months. In his last moments he was surrounded by a large number of friends.
The deceased has been identified with the political interests of this county for a number of years, having occupied the position of Deputy Sheriff under Sheriff McCartney and Zollinger. At a later day he was business manager of the Sentinel Printing Company, and upon resigning that capacity became the confidential financial agent of Mr. Fleming. The funeral will take place to-morrow at 2 o'clock and the remains will be interred in Lindenwood.
