Mrs. Martha B. Givens--Suddenly Saturday morning at the residence 824 19th Ave. So., Mother of Mrs. Estelle G. Friedman, Charles A. Givens, both of Nashville, 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren. Services 2:30 p.m. Monday, Belmont Church of Christ, with James L. McDonough, minister. Pallbearers: Arthur Burt, Gayle Weaks, Verna Eidson, R. E. Lee, Richard A. Satterfield and T. A. Friedman Jr., Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Remains at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home.

Services for Mrs. Benjamin S. Givens, 81, of 824 19th Ave. S., were today at Belmont Church of Christ with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
James L. McDonough, minister at the church, officiated.
Mrs. Givens died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Estelle G. Friedmann, after suffering a stroke.
A native of Tallassee, Ala., the former Miss Martha B. Burt was a daughter of the late Adolphus and Amanda Curlee Burt. She came to Nashville as a child and received her education in city schools.
Married in 1902, her husband died in 1932. Mrs. Givens was employed from 1932 until her retirement 17 years ago in the alteration departments of Grace’s and Burke’s shops here.
She was an active member of Belmont Church of Christ and the Ladies’ Bible Class of the church.
Other survivors include a son, Charles A. Givens, Nashville; 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
