Bobby E. Bethune passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at home in Houston, Texas.
He was born September 22, 1929 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to Claude and Dorothy Hurdlow Bethune and moved to Houston at the age of fourteen.
He graduated from Jefferson Davis High School and began work at Southwestern Bell where he retired in 1986. While at Southwestern Bell he was instrumental in installing the 911 emergency network for the Houston Area.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Sarah Gail Hill Bethune, two sons Glenn (Maria), Michael (Pam), 4 grandsons Glenn Jr., Justin, Joseph, and Nathan Bethune, one granddaughter Meagan Bethune Davis, and 3 great grandchildren Zayne and Corbin Davis and Ryley Bethune.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Dorothy; and siblings Claudine Spillios and Don Ray Bethune.
