Elsie C. West, age 81 of Powell, passed away April 27, 2015. She was a member of Farmers Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening.
Elsie was also a wonderful cook and everyone always enjoyed her dishes she brought for church outings. She was a loving and generous lady that was always willing to help others.
She loved her family and her friends. She will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by her parents, Henry Carl and Etta Cox; husband, Rev. Beryl West; sister, Minnie Melissa Cox; brothers, Floyd, Carl, Paul and Douglas Cox.
Survivors Sons Mike West and wife Patty Jeff West and wife Sandy Grandchildren Michael West, Jr. and wife Vonda Christy West Sierra West and husband Jeff Amber Collier 5 great grandchildren Special friends and family Thelma Jo and Warren Wells A.O. Carroll Jerry and Cheryl West Shelia Brogan Several nieces, nephews and friends
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 30th from 6-8 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
Funeral service will follow with Rev. Bobby Metcalf and Rev. Joe Copeland officiating.
Graveside service will be Friday, May 1st at 10:00 AM at Lynnhurst Cemetery in Knoxville. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
