Christopher “Chris” Gulde, 57, of North Fort Myers, FL died on June 11, 2014 at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral, FL.

He was born on April 21, 1957 in Rushville, IN, a child of Joseph Francis and Janet Irene (Dearinger) Gulde, Jr.

Chris was the third of seven children who all grew up in Rushville. He graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School, Class of 1975, then studied at Purdue University before transferring to Vincennes University and earning an associate degree in applied science, specializing in diesel technology. In 1987 Chris began working for the Internal Revenue Service in Indianapolis and worked for the IRS until he retired from the Cincinnati, Ohio regional office in 2005.

Chris moved to North Ft. Myers to be near his family where he remained until his death. He was an avid reader, followed the financial markets, enjoyed collecting coins, liked the ponies, a game of poker and loved to fish.

Chris is survived by his brothers Joseph, Nicholas and Steven, sister Rebecca and sister-in-law Mari Gulde. He is also survived by nephews Justin Schnitker, and Tyler Gulde and niece Alyssa Gulde.

Chris will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his wonderful sense of humor and contagious smile.

Visitation will be Friday, May 1, 2015 from 5 to 7PM at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with a reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus. A private family graveside service will be held 10 AM Saturday at Calvary Cemetery.
