A native of Spartanburg County, SC, daughter of the late Tom and Joyce Ann Ashemore Price, she was retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and a member of Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown enjoyed teaching Sunday school and fishing.
Surviving are one daughter Freida Stokes (Nelson) of Landrum, SC; three grandchildren, Nelson Stokes IV (Chandi), Tabitha Stokes, and Amanda Boone (Stuart); special friend, Amanda Pike; and six great grandchildren, Blaine Stevenson, Kade Stokes, Abbi Miller, Stuart "SJ" Boone, Jr., Ashlynne Boone, and Lizzie Boone.
Mrs. Brown was predeceased by five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Drew Hines, Dr. Walter Johnson, and Rev. Vince Gainey. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Welcome Church Cemetery.
