The end of all things earthly came to a highly-esteemed woman, Mrs. Elizabeth R. Justice, on Saturday, October 13, 1906, at her home on North Third Street, after an illness of two months from muscular rheumatism. Born in St. Clair County, Ill., near Fayettville, January 15, 1837, where she joined the Baptist faith in her youth and the little Silver Creek Church where she made her consecration to her maker was often in her thoughts and on her lips during her last illness. Married to W. B. Justice October 21, 1858 and made him a devoted painstaking wife. He died two years ago last August and she grieved continuously for his presence. They came to Missouri in 1867 and settled on the Justice farm four and one-half miles northeast of Clinton, where they lived until 12 years ago when they built their present home on Third Street. If Mrs. Justice had a fault, it was being overly industrious and so careful that it proved too much for her frail body. Her last moments were peaceful and she went sweetly to sleep. Her children are: James T. of Clinton and Mrs. Alice McHenry of Kansas City. The three grandchildren are Mrs. Mae McCraw, Miss Maude McHenry and Miss Beulah Justice. One little great-granddaughter, aged two, named Louise McCraw, was the delight of the great-grandmother's heart. Burial in Englewood.
