Daughter of Fred Reed and Lona L Beverlin ∼Winifred Heist, 81, Geneseo, died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church, Geneseo. The Rev. Thomas Heyd will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Aledo Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to the church. Vandemore Funeral Home, Atkinson, is handling arrangements.
Winifred was born Sept. 1, 1920, in New Boston, the daughter of Fred and Lona Beverlin Reed. She married Harris Kolsrud July 12, 1946, in Moline. He died in 1975. She then married Bob Heist May 26, 1984. He died in 1998.
She had been employed at the Wards Drug Store in Geneseo as a clerk for several years. She later worked as a teller and bookkeeper at Farmers National Bank in Geneseo, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Geneseo, and its WELCA group and Rebecca group.
Survivors include sons and spouses, Reed and Cheri Kolsrud, Camanche, Iowa, and Roger and Kathy Kolsrud, Red Wing, Minn.; daughters and spouse, Delores and Kenny Vozzella, Foxboro, Mass., and Darlene Diaz, Minneapolis, Minn.; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
