Floyd F. Heuston, 65, 316 Ellsworth St., died at 1:25 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 1969, in St. Anthony Hospital after a long illness. Born July 20, 1903, in Rockford, son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Heuston. Lived most of his life in Rockford. Married to the former Liona Fry in Rockford June 29, 1925. Employed as a machinist by Special Machine Co., retiring in 1967. Veteran of World War I. He was the presiding minister of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Hollywood, Fla., and Rockford. He recently served as an assistant minister in Rockford. Survivors include his widow, Liona; one son, C. Randall Heuston, Clinton, Iowa; one granddaughter; one brother, Leslie G. Heuston, Indianapolis, Ind.; and two sisters, Mrs. Elva Smith, Reedsburg, Wis., and Mrs. Arelyn Seeley, Moline. He was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Heuston, in 1960.
Services at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Julian-Poorman Funeral Home, 304 N. 5th St., with Gordon Swisher, minister of Loves Park Congregational Jehovah's Witnesses, and George W. Krausse, circuit supervisor of Jehovah's Witnesses, officiating. Burial in Rockton Cemetery, Rockton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
