In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mr. Blom’s name to Lansing Christian School or Trinity Christian College. During WWII, Mr. Blom honorably served his country in the 103rd division in the European theater, earning the Bronze Star. In later years he and his family traveled every summer to a reunion with his Army buddies. After the war he learned the trade of lath and plaster from his uncle and would go on to plaster many homes and commercial buildings in the Calumet region. Serving his Lord was Bob's life. This was evidenced in his commitment to his family, to Christian education, to his church and in his work. He volunteered many hours to church and school boards.
