He was born May 24, 1934, in Van Wert, the son of William and Leona (Landis) Rayer, who both preceded him in death.
On October 6, 1952, he was united in marriage with Josephine Barrientos, who preceded him in death on May 23, 2012.
Milford was a retired employee of Chrysler Corp, a naval veteran of the Korean War, and a life member of American Legion Post 178 Van Wert.
He is survived by his children, Christina (Rex) Craig of Van Wert, Randall Dean Rayer and Terrilyn (Dennis) Straw, both of Ohio City, Brian Rayer of Elida, and Jeff (Lori) Rayer of Van Wert. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Brickner Funeral Home with calling begining at 10 a.m. to time of service.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with military honors performed by combined units of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.
Preferred memorials are gifts to the donor's choice.
