Anna was the seventh born of seven children of Sebastian Amberger and Katherine "Kate" Hotzhauer.

Anna married George Joseph Bangert on Aug. 11, 1923 in Brooklyn, Kings Co., New York. They were married 20 years at the time of Anna's death in 1944.

Anna and George had two children between them. First born was Elaine Barbara Bangert born in 1924 and second born was Marcella Margaret Bangert born in 1925.
