Son of Francis Marion (F. M.) "Bud" Gentry and Mary Polley Stanton. He was the husband of Jersey Tweed. He was a Timber Cutter - Lumberman. He was cutting timber in the Ocono-Lufta section of Swain County, when a log rolled over his chest, causing a Pulmonary Hemorrhage and sudden death. At the time of his death, he was only 25 years of age. He was taken back to White Rock Cemetery (Gentry) in Madison for his burial.
