Paul Douglas Williams, 74, of Lenoir City, Tennessee passed away August 20, 2012 at the National Health Care facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was surrounded by family and loving friends.


Doug was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on June 12, 1938. He was the son of Lucille and Paul Williams of Lenoir City. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and earned a M.B.A. from the University of Chattanooga. Doug also served as an officer in the United States Army. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.



A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 300 2nd Avenue, W. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at the church following the ceremony. Click Funeral Home is in charge. Burial will be private.


Doug is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Sam Tate and four grandchildren, Jason, Michael, Madison, and Rebekah all of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Roy McLain of Aiken, S.C.; a niece Meredith (Ryan) Griffin and nephew David (Kellie) McLain all of Charleston, S.C.


The family wishes to express their appreciation for the loving care given to Doug by the entire staff of the National Health Care on Highland Avenue and the hospice nurses.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Trinity United Methodist Church.
